Riverview Bar & Grill: Top Western Dining Experience in Fernie, BC

We tried Riverside tonight for a change of scenery and we were NOT disappointed. From the minute we walked in the door we were greeted by our phenomenal server named Eric who made our experience that much better - he was so friendly, hilarious and relatable. Restaurant was so clean, tables were set and looked great. I love that you can see the chefs working in the back and hearing the great communication between wait staff and kitchen. Now for the food I actually don’t know what to say other than incredible, honestly. Presentation was great, service was fast, food was hot and absolutely delicious. My only complaint wound be that I wish I would have had more room to try dessert and ordered shrimp in addition to chicken on my pad Thai - always next time! No photos to add as food was devoured to fast. Can’t wait to come back and try more on the menu. Thank you Eric and the kitchen staff, we’ll for sure be back. Cheers!

We had a lovely time here. We were served by two different staff members and both were polite, attentive, and genuinely engaging — it made the whole experience feel welcoming and relaxed. The food was thoughtfully presented and clearly prepared with care. You can tell the kitchen is putting in real effort and passion. While not every element was perfectly refined, the freshness and creativity stood out. If solely based on the food, I'd rate it a 4/5 but this is definitely a team you want to cheer for (and who show great potential) so I've given 5/5.

The food here is absolutely incredible! The staff are very attentive to your plate and everything was so good! Excellent menu and choices, ordered the loaded burger and the Quebec bison maple burger and both were amazing! Our server was awesome and the drinks were top notch too! Can't wait to come back and work out way through the menu

My family stayed at the hotel where this AMAZING restaurant is located .. We were in Fernie for a basketball tournament and the first meal we had was lunch ..There was a lot of us, everyone who ordered their meals were raving about them. Including us, I ordered their ginger beef and it was delicious, presented with a homemade shell, veggies and noodles in the most delicious sauce . My family ordered pad Thai, steak sandwiches which were amazing as well. We witnessed other orders coming out, the burgers looked scrumptious!! Everything looked sooo good and the entire team and families were super impressed ..The service was also so great! Our waiter made sure we were all looked after and meals arrived timely, hot and sooo impressive . We continued to return for other meals as well. Their breakfast menu is also delicious. I ordered their fruit and custard crepe with sides of diced hash browns and poached eggs, my family had steak and eggs, waffles, blueberry pancakes, poutine and other items that were delicious. My son-in-law had their skillet , said it was the best he had ever had .. The waiter was sooo kind and patient .. and the prices very reasonable .. My family is from Alberta , Kelowna and the Yukon and we all agreed this is our “ fav” restaurant! Thank you for such lovely, delicious and affordable meals .. We are all praising and highly recommend anyone to experience this wonderful restaurant.. I could literally go on and on..

We dined here on a very quiet (lack of snow on mountain) Tuesday evening. Our Server Eric was friendly and offered great recommendations - service was excellent. The food was delicious ( lamb shank / beef brisket), veggies cooked perfectly and the presentation was superb. The decor, however, needs a bit of work. It is a little bit fusion but empty (feels cold) with poor lighting. A change of the color and lanterns around the trim of the windows from green to maybe beige. The dining room could be warmed up with some fake greenery like palms\ficus trees greenery. There are some very cool, white puffy decor features above the bar, which could potentially be hung throughout the restaurant to give it more interest and feel the space. We will definitely come back and dine here in the summer when we can sit outside on the deck.

I have been here for brunch twice and have been pleasantly surprised both times. Great food, service and location. I had the best thick cut bacon of my life this morning. Nothing is cheep these days but I felt well fed for a good price both times. Haven’t tried dinner yet but if it’s half as good as breakfast It would still be worth it.

We had an amazing time there the staff was really kind, the food was amazing they made us feel very welcome. It’s a great place if you have children with the pool and water slide. But I have to say the food and the service at the restaurant was so amazing. Every meal we have was sooo delicious. Highly recommend

Riverview Bar & Grill is hands down the best place to eat! Whether you’re stopping in for breakfast, lunch, or supper, the food is always amazing. They have a huge menu with a great variety of options — there’s truly something for everyone. The service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for great food best service and a great experience, Highly recommended !
